Homemade recipes of herbal hair-growth-pack and hair-growth-enhancing oil from Brahmi; an Ayurvedic herb Brahmi is an ayurvedic herb that can greatly help in the treatment of hair problems like hair loss, graying of hair, hair thinning, dandruff, etc.

This herb is known to have medicinal properties in Ayurveda. Although there are many types of Brahmi, the one used in hair treatments is known by its botanical name Centella asiatica. It deeply nourishes your hair from the root to enhance hair growth and give your tresses a naturally healthy sheen.

The anti-oxidant property of this herb works phenomenally to both prevent and cure all kinds of hair problems and even help regeneration of hair on a bald patch. Both Brahmi hair growth pack and Brahmi hair oil can be prepared at home.

To prepare Brahmi hair growth pack, take 5-10 tablespoons of Brahmi powder, 3 tablespoons of amla powder and one cup henna powder in a bowl. Add water to the mixture and make a nice paste. Now, this paste is ready to be applied.

It is preferable to oil your hair with coconut or olive oil before applying this pack. Apply the pack all over your hair and scalp. Leave it for about half an hour and wash off with lukewarm water. Application of this pack once a week can work wonders for you.Now, to make brahmi hair-oil; take one cup of any hair oil like coconut oil etc.

in a heating pan and add 5 -10 tsp of brahmi powder to it. Heat this mixture on a low flame. Put a few fenugreek seeds in the pan as the mixture begins to fume. When the seeds start popping up, turn off the flame.

Take care not to let the oil turn very dark brown or black. Now filter it into a glass bottle on cooling. It is preferable to heat the oil a little every time before applying it. Massage it well into the roots of your hair. If you have dry hair, apply it thrice a week at least an hour before shampooing. For oily hair; apply it once a week.
