Home Care for Skin

Skin care becomes very essential during winter, no matter whatever skin type you have it will get dry during this season. Dry skin can crack easily and cause skin infections, it becomes home to bacterial and fungal infections, not to mention eczema which is majorly caused due to dryness.

If you continue with your normal routine when the temperature falls you will have to deal with chapped skin on your lips, elbows, cheeks and feet. In this season all skin types require moisturising but the key is gentle moisturizing. We share with you some home care tips for baby soft skin this winter.

1) Moisturise when your skin is damp and use a Vitamin E moisturiser.

2) Avoid using a soap before moisturising, do not wash your skin or hair excessively.

3) Dry skin – If you have dry skin then try this remedy take 1/4 cup of oatmeal flour, 1 teaspoon of Vitamin E oil and 1 teaspoon of milk mix these ingredients and apply gently to your skin. Wash it off with milk when the skin is semi dry. This will make your skin supple. Another home remedy is to make a paste of papaya, almond , orange and Vitamin E oil and apply the same on the face or neck.

4) Oily skin – For oily skin try this home treatment, mix 2 teaspoons each of green gram flour, wheatgrass paste, honey and water. Apply this paste on face and neck and wash it off with cucumber juice and then splash water. Try this if you have very greasy skin, take 2 teaspoons each of Jojoba oil, buttermilk and water, mix it and apply gently. Wash it with lukewarm water.
