Hand Care

Hands reflect the first sign of ageing, though facial wrinkles can be covered with make up and cosmetic treatments you cannot hide your age that shows up on your hands. It is said that a woman’s true age can be told by looking at her hands.

So it is imperative to care for your hands the way you care for your face. Hand care should begin early because once the sign of wrinkles shows up on your dry hands, it is difficult to get rid of it. Our hands are exposed to many pollutants all the time, right from soaps to detergents to dry weather as a result the delicate skin gets dry. The most important part of hand care is to mositurise it thoroughly, dry skin is prone to wrinkles, so nourish your hands to keep wrinkles at bay.

Use a moisturiser twice a day, also avoid washing your hands frequently with soap since it will rip the skin of its natural oils. Apart from moisturizing it is important to keep your hands and nails clean hence a regular manicure will ensure that you have soft and supple hands. Manicure not only helps in maintaing hygiene but removes dead skin cells, promotes blood circulation due to massage and keeps the skin supple.

For beautiful hands do manicure atleast once in a month, you can do this even at home. Soak your hands for 10 – 15 minutes in warm water to which few drops of Pepermint Oil has been added, peppermint oil has cooling effect and is ideal for summers. Use a nail brush and rub off the dry skin, now massage your hands with an intensive moisturising cream and cover it with a napkin dipped in warm water.

Wrap the warm towel/napkin around your hands for 3 minutes, now remove cuticles from the nails, cut any dry skin around the nair area. Cut and file your nails and apply any face or foot pack, wash it with warm water and voila you have soft and supple hands.
