Hairstyles for Silky Hair

Silky hair is a boon since it is easy to manage as compared to dry, frizzy , curly or wavy hair. Straight tresses do not tangle or snarl, they also give offer loads of styling options. Long hairstyles are always preferred by people with straight and silky hair. This hair can be styled partially into bouncy curls with straight fringes in the front and curly locks at the back.

Due to the natural shine and texture of straight silky hair they are a hot favourite amongst stylist. Straight hair need not necessarily be silky smooth, there are various textures like coarse, medium or fine. Some haircuts suitable for silky straight hair are listed below:

1) Razor cut - Razor cut blunts the ends of your hair and adds a lot of shape and texture to the hair. It is important to visit a professional salon for a razor cut becuase if it goes wrong, the damage can be traumatic. The ends can become frizzy and the hair will look very very thin. So if you have fine, straight hair this cut is not for you. Razor cut gives a lot of definition to the hair.

2) Sliced cut - This technique is similar to slide cutting. It leaves the hair with textured, feathered finish. This haircut is also not meant for thin, fine hair or curly hair. Both these techniques require slicing or sliding the scissors through the hair without closing the blade.

3) Tapered cut - This cut is circular is look with a little longer upper layers accompanied with side parting or side swept bangs. The hair in the front is long enough to be gelled and held back to add versatility and it tapers down at the back of the neck around the ears. This cut also suits slightly wavy hair with medium texture.
