Haircut For Men
October 16, 2008
Men are such easy going creatures that they hardly pay any attention to their hair and only look at it when the hairline starts receeding. Not to mention the fact that there aren’t many branded salons for men as compared to women. The situation is changing now with the growing section of metrosexual men who care about their looks as well as hygeine. Earlier, taking a manicure/pedicure or a facial was considered very feminine but these days men are also taking care of themselves and it is important.
Well, coming back to the haircut, if you want a good haircut then please do not go to your local barber, he is not well trained to give a good haircut probably because this business was passed on to him by his family. It is difficult to find an efficient hair dresser and if you find one then don’d let go of him/her. Haircutting is an art, it is not a skill that can be acquired, the hair dresser needs to be artistic and creative.
Although some techniques can be learned with proper training. A hair dresser who is passionate about his work will give you the best haircut. The first thumb rule to a good hair cut is to visit a professional, not a barber. Your barber may give you the same haircut for years together and you can’t even imagine what difference a hair cut can do to your looks. A haircut has the ability to chop off years from your face, it can be worn in different styles so you can experiment with your looks. The second thing to bear in mind is the length of the hair, if you are not too funky then opt for a short or medium length. Short would mean really short like BUZZ cut, the hair is hardly half a centimeter in length. This cut looks cool and is best for summer.
You can alter the length as per your requirement and keep it a little longer, approximately 1 cm. Incase if you go for medium length then 2 inches is appropriate, anything more than that will look shabby. Also ensure that you go for a trim every 2-3 weeks depending on the rate of hair growth.
