Hair Style Tips For Dry Hair

Hairstyle should be decided on the basis of the type of hair you have, though certain hairstyles may be in vogue but if it doesn’t compliment your hair type then it will do no good to your looks. The various types of hair range from dry to oily, normal, thick, thin/fine, straight or curly. Always discuss about your desired haircut with your hairdresser, also check with him/her if the desired haircut will suit your hair type.

Let’s look at some of the hairstyles for dry and frizzy hair. If you have this type of hair don’t trim your hair, it will not camouflage the frizzy look, the key is to have a structured cut in the form of steps so as to cut down the volume. Dry hair usually has loads of volume so do not go for layers since they add volume, step cut should be fine.

Add more steps, approximately 3 – 4 steps for collar length hair if you want to get rid of the volume. It is advisable to keep the length up to shoulder since anything longer than that will not only make it difficult to manage but will also make your head look like a nest. Also note that dry hair tends to get curly or wavy, if you have soft curls or waves then give them a definition, enhance your curls so that it doesn’t look messy or unkept.

A simple method can be practiced at home and will make your mane drool worthy. Divide your hair in small sections while it is still wet and roll them up into small ring, pin it up until it dries, once dry you can remove the pin and comb it with your fingers to separate the curls and voila you are ready for a party. Another hair style that can be worn is to pin up a big section of your hair from the front and leave the rest of your hair open from behind, this will give a neater look in the front and is better than leaving your hair open.
