Hair problems are of various types and so are the remedies. It is important to take care of your hair to keep them looking fresh and lustrous. Here we discuss various problems related to hair and the remedies for the same.
1) One of the most common cause of hair loss is tight pony tails/pleats, they tend to pull the hair very harshly and cause breakage, to add to it if the elastic band is too tight it will cause further breakage. Do not wear tight pony tails frequently, if you wish to wear one everyday then keep it a little loose and use a band which can be easily change its shape and doesn’t require any force.
2) The second most common mistake we commit is overusing styling products and sleeping with the product on your hair. Though it is advisable to use styling products in moderation but if cannot avoid its usage on a daily basis atleast ensure that you wash it off before hitting the bed, sleeping with your hair products on is very harmful, it can cause dandruff and eventually hair fall.
3) Eat a balanced diet, it is said that whatever goes in comes out so eat a healthy diet rich in protien and fibre. Also drink 8 – 10 glasses of water everyday, it detoxifies your body and will not only clear your skin but will aid in promoting smooth hair.
4) Another common hair problem among children is head lice. Alcohol is also useful for treating head lice. Take 3-4 tablespoon of whisky, apply it on the scalp you will feel the parasites crawling hastily on your head. Use a fine toothed comb to remove the lice. Wash your hair with a medicated shampoo.
5) Dandruff has always been a nuisance, to control and cure dandruff use Jojoba oil. It is pronounced a hohoba, Jojoba is not an oil but liquid wax which comes from a desert shrub, it is the only plant in the world that contains liquid wax. It can replace beeswax in cosmetics.
Jojoba oil is very stable and has good keeping qualities, it doesn’t come with an expiry date. The chemical structure of Jojoba not only resembles sebum but the latter can dissolve in it which makes jojoba an ideal oil for acne. It is a balancing oil and has anti- inflammatory properties, it is an excellent oil for dandruff and helps promote hair growth.
