Hair Issues
Hair has always been a matter of concern for women, everyone desires beautiful healthy hair. But seldom do we realize that hair care lies in the small things that we do in our routine lives. If we inculcate good habits in our regular lives, it will show its positive results almost immediately. Hair care may sound very tedious and time consuming but actually it is not. With a little awareness and efforts it can be a cake walk, we share some tips on hair care.
1) Washing - Regular hair wash is mandatory to keep the scalp and hair clean. Washing hair becomes all the more essential if you have oily scalp, since the oil that accumulates on the scalp can turn into scaly dandruff which is difficult to get rid of.
Shampooing should be followed by conditioning, the frequency of washing hair should be based on your lifestyle and the climatic conditions, for example; hair should be washed frequently in summer than in winter. Similarly if you have oily scalp then it is advisable to wash your hair frequently even during winters.
2) Hair products - Select your shampoos and conditioners carefully, fancy products with scented formulations are no good for hair. Use mild shampoos that are pH balanced and have 2 to 3 ingredients, too many ingredients are not advisable. Other hair products like gels, sprays, mousse etc should be used sparingly for they leave a residue in the scalp.
3) Food deficiency - Deficiency of calcium, minerals and vitamins often cause fragile hair and split ends. Irregular eating habits and foods like Chinese, sweets, cakes, aerated drinks are harmful for the hair and body. Lack of iron in the diet is also one of the reasons for hair problems. Include a lot of spinach, green peas, lentils, prunes, raisins, fruits and leafy vegetables in your diet.
