For instance, if you have a dark skin then a contrasting colour like blonde or gold can look horrible. Similarly, if the original hair colour is dark then going too light will make your hair appear artificial. The idea of colouring hair is to enhance its beauty and not to make it look artificial. You should wear darker colours during winter since it will compliment the lighter skin tone during the cold months. Lighter colour will suit warmer months.
