Red colour also bleeds, so be careful after a head wash, you might stain your clothes ot towel. The colour also needs to be refreshed regularly to keep it bright. It is good to avoid exposure to sun and chlorinated water (swimming pool) since both of them can damage the hair and colour.

It makes sense to know the skin tones that complements reds. Red suits wheatish tones perfectly. Mahogany is the best colour in the red family that has both warm and cool undertones, making it suitable for various Indian complexions.

Also consider the colour of eyes, for darker eyes a deep burgundy and mahogany will look good. For lighter eyes and skin bright red with violet will look good.
