1) Smoking - This will interfere with your blood stream and will not provide pure blood to the vessels located near the hair follicles. So, there is a link between bad hair and smoking.

2) Drinking – Alcohol has a dehydrating effect, not only on your body but also on your hair.

3) Pollution - External pollutants can damage your hair badly. Dirt, grime and smoke can have devastating effects on the texture and quality of your hair. Wear a scarf, save your hair.

4) Sun exposure – UV rays of the sun are not only harmful for the skin, they also burn your hair. So stay indoors during the peak hours. At least use a scarf or a cap, to protect your mane from the sun rays.

5) Bad eating habits - Food that is not nutritious will give you poor quality hair. Eat fresh fruits, vegetables and juices.

6) Stress - This can cause hair loss and thinning, it also causes dry powdery type of dandruff.

7) Hair products like; mousse, gels, hair sprays. They form a thin film on the hair and if not washed properly will clod the pores of your scalp.

8) Heated instruments like; flat iron, hair dryer, rollers and so on are very dangerous. They will make your hair dry and brittle and will cause breakage.
