Hair Advice For Men

Men too like women face various hair problems and one of them is a scalp condition called dandruff. In fact this dreaded condition is more common among men, especially when they are in to too much of physical activity like sports. There are several causes of dandruff and the most common cause is dirt and sweat, when they are combined with the natural hair oils, they lead to dandruff. Though this condition can be corrected, but it is best avoided. Chronic dandruff is very difficult to cure. When we talk about solutions for dandruff, the first thing that comes to mind is an anti-dandruff shampoo.

But a shampoo will not offer permanent solution. It will keep a check on the dandruff until you use the shampoo. Once you stop using it, the dandruff will come back. So shampoos are not a good option for curing dandruff. However, few medicated shampoos that are advised by doctor are effective in treating this scalp condition. But these shampoos should not be used too often, they can make your scalp dry and sap it of the natural hair oil (sebum).

The best way to treat dandruff is by taking good care of your mane. Wash your hair after every workout session. The idea is to keep the scalp and hair squeaky clean. Similarly, you should also wash your hair after a physical activity like sports or sports practice. It is also important to remove hair product from your head before hitting the bed.

These are some basic rules for avoiding dandruff. However, if it has already occurred then you can try some aromatherapy hair oils, they are very effective and can work wonders. Moreover, these oils are very safe to use and do not have any after effects. While buying an aroma oil, look for ingredients like Jojoba oil, Tea tree oil, Lavender oil, Lemon oil for greasy hair and scalp. In case you have dry flaky scalp then look for Geranium oil, Sandalwood oil and Jojoba oil.
