Grooming Tips for Men

When it comes to grooming, men are more concerned about their physical appearance and hardly give any importance to facial grooming. The only thing they can think of is shave their faces, like women men should also understand the importance of facial grooming. For some men taking care of their facial skin sounds very girlish hence they ignore it completely. But the awareness of skin care and its importance is spreading these days and there are some reputed brands that offer a range of skin care products designed specially for men.

This should encourage the male brigade to indulge in some self pampering. Lets look at some common mistakes and how it can be avoided. The primary and the most important factor in grooming is shaving, it is an activity which you cannot forgo and but it is the most rough thing to do to your face. The common mistake men commit while shaving is use of poor quality shaving blade and pre/post shaving products. It is very important that you shave carefully, do not use an old blade or a blunt razor, this is very harsh and wil leave you with bruises.

Always prepare your skin for shaving, wash your face with warm water, apply the shaving cream and let it settle down for few minutes. Use a twin blade razor, throw away old razors. Once done with the shaving, do not forget to apply after shave and always rinse your face with cold water after, also use a moisturiser at the end.

This is the first and the most essentail part of grooming the next important aspect is use of a day and night cream, like women, the skin of a man is also prone to dryness and wrinkling. It is important that men use a mositurising cream everyday, the day cream should also have Sunscreen to protect the skin from the harmful rays of sun.

You can wear your shades for making a style statement and protecting your eyes but what about your facial skin which is exposed to the sun. So it is essential to wear a day and a night cream. The last and universal remedy for men and women is water, drink atleast 8 -10 glasses of water everyday, it will keep your body hydrated and your skin glowing.
