Greying

Greying is inevitable, like our skin hair too produces melanin which gives colour to the hair. When the hair bulb fails to produce melanin we loose the colour pigment and thus have colourless hair which looks grey. The production of colour pigments is either reduced partially or completely leaving you with either grey / black hair or completely colourless hair.

Though greying is a natural process and is a part of ageing but premature greying is caused due to various reasons. Some of the common causes of premature greying are stress, erratic lifestyle, lack of Vitamin B, improper diet, illness, shock or trauma, external pollutants, hereditary etc. The causes that trigger premature greying can be controlled with a little care and precaution.

Gray hair usually begins when the hair becomes dry and brittle. This is a sign that gray hair is just around the corner, because when the hair is dry and brittle, it is not healthy. Hair loss can also be a sign of gray hair approaching. If you notice any of these signs, it can be considered as an alarm infact you should look at treating it through home remedies.

The best time to prevent greying is before it starts but 99 % of people ignore such signs and thus fall in the trap of grey hair.
