Good Care of the Feet

We all take very great care of our arms and hands. Seldom do we forget to wash and moisturize our face before we go to bed at night. What is often left to neglect, though, is care for the feet.

The feet are the most worn out part of the body as they support all the body’s weight constantly, and are also used the most. Needless to say, then, that feet must require the most amount of pampering.

Proper care of the feet is a must to prevent the formation of cracks, and to keep them looking clean and soft. The best way to protect the feet is with a regular pedicure. It is a little difficult to clean your own feet completely. If you have the liberty of getting it don professionally, there can be no substitute.

Proper exfoliation of dead skin on the legs and feet areas is a must, as its accumulation can cause pain while walking. Exfoliation also fosters the growth of new skin. Massaging the feet well helps relax them completely, and also improves circulation in the feet, which supports the health of the skin. Soaking the skin in warm water softens the skin greatly, making it more supple, and cleans the feet completely. Moisturizing protects the feet from undue drying, which often occurs from excessive walking.

Make sure the cuticles of the toes are pushed back to allow the toe nails to grow better. It is also advisable to keep the nails short as they remain cleaner, and also lower the chances of gathering infections. Avoid keeping toenails painted all the time as this prevents them from breathing freely and causes a yellow discolouration.

Use all the above information to get yourself to the beautician. Any reason is good enough excuse to pamper yourself.
