Go Grey Stylishly
Grey hair is no more undesirable and unwanted. In fact, it is being preferred by women and is catching up like fire. Grey or silver, as it is commonly known as has become a rage and is one of the most desirable colours. People are willing to grey gracefully. If maintained well, grey hair can look suave. However, styling grey hair initially is a bit difficult. The reason being, your hair is coloured and the roots are frequently touched up so the grey strands will be difficult to find. Moreover, you cannot just stop colouring and go grey. The transition should be smooth and the change in colour should be acceptable and pleasant to eyes.
A direct switch from blonde to grey or from brown to grey is certainly not appealing. To ensure that the colour change is not drastic and doesn’t look weird, you have to adopt a strategy for colouring. What you have to do is to get your hair coloured or the root touched up even after you have decided to go grey. But this time the colour should be toned down. For instance, instead of a bright blonde with yellow hues, you can get a light brown colour. The idea is to tone down the colour each month until you reach closer to your natural hair colour.
Now comes the hair care part, grey hair tends to get dry and wiry. This happens due to loss of pigmentation in the hair strand. Dry, straw like grey hair certainly doesn’t look good. So you have to take extreme care to keep grey locks shiny and smooth. Maintaining hair health is of utmost importance, especially when it comes to grey hair. Dry and brittle hair look lifeless and dull and you cannot think of styling such hair.
You have to take extra efforts to improve the texture of grey hair. And one way to do this is by using deep conditioning treatments. Visiting a salon once in a month for hydrating and conditioning treatment is a must. Apart from that you also need to condition your hair at home. Even head massage with essential oils of aromatherapy is known to improve the texture of grey hair.
