Getting Rid Of Matted Hair
When you have long hair, it is bound to have tangles once in a while and also it can get matted sometimes too. They are real pains and they can get really rowdy too. If not paid heed to, you can end up losing a lot of precious hair.
Don’t go to sleep with a ponytail or with a braid. Don’t comb your hair haphazardly and don’t shampoo tangled hair and then try to comb your hair while it’s wet.
Getting your matted hair straightened out is not that hard, but be careful not to end up breaking a lot of hair.
Steps to follow:
Start by spraying your hair with a detangler or just plain water. I’d suggest you to use a detangler id you want to have more effect. In any case, make sure that your hair is wet.
Use a medium toothed comb to break the matted portion of the hair. Use gentle motions and try not to be fast and rough.
Now use a brush to smoothen your hair. In order to avoid breakage of hair, hold the strands an inch or so away from the scalp. See to it that the roots don’t get pulled at.
Your hair should be mat free by now. If not then try using the detangler again and do the brushing again.
You should use a leave-in conditioner after shampooing if your hair is prone to getting matted. Don’t leave your hair open in the wind or comb it while it is braided. Usually dreadlocks are produced that way.
Hope this process will help you to get rid of your matted hair. Always keep a detangler at home as it is really useful.
Healthy hair comes from good handling. Handle your hair with care. After all it is one of women’s best assets.
