Gothic look is much in vogue these days and a little modification in the makeup style, will fetch you the perfect look! We tell you all about it!

Clean up the face: Clean the face thoroughly before applying Gothic makeup. It is usually heavy and involves a lot of makeup, which can eventually harm your skin. So, make sure to clean the face properly before you start off.

Foundation: Gothic amounts for a clean and fair face. So apply a foundation that is 2-3 times lighter than your original skin tone. Blend it well.

Eye makeup: Eye makeup is the main part of the Gothic look. Eye makeup should be done in a way to accentuate the whole face. Go for bright and dark colors like black, burgundy, purple and blood red. The most common color is black. Apply in dark patches over the eye lids and lighter near the inner corners. Draw your eyes with eyeliner. Go as bold as you can! Make sure the eye pencil is black in color. Apply on upper eyelid and lower lids as well. Do not apply mascara.

Lip color: Once you are done with the eyes, do your lips. Line your lips with a lip liner and fill it up with the aid of a brush. Go for bold colors like red, brown or wine. Never apply black color to the lips. It will spoil the whole look making you look hideous.

Avoid blush: Gothic makeup highlights the eyes and the pale makeup of the face. Applying blush would negate this effect to some extent. So, avoid using blush. In case, you want to highlight your cheek bones, go for beige or brown blushes. But make sure to apply less or else it will overshadow the whole makeup.
