Fruits for Skin

Fruits can make you glow in more ways than one. Fruits are packed with fibre, vitamins and acids, they can even substitute a meal. A diet with 100% fruits is acceptable for humans, they provide all the nutrients to our body.Consume brightly coloured fruits and veggies, lean fish, meat and wholegrain to get beautiful skin. It is important to be responsible about what you are eating since whatever goes in, come out. If your food habits are poor it will show up on your skin and hair. We share some fruity secrets to reveal a beautiful you.

Papaya - Papaya contain an enzyme called papain which is an excellent cleanser. It helps in curing blemishes and is particularly good for oily skin. Papaya also lightens the skin colour. Use ripe papaya pulp as it is or mix with oatmeal and honey and apply it on the face, leave it for 10 minutes and then wash off. To reduce dark circles prepare a paste of papaya and cucumber and apply it under the eyes.

Apple - Apples are loaded with Vitamins and Minerals but apart from this they also contain pectin and tannin that help tone and tighten the skin. It also improves blood circulation. Apples are good for sensitive skin. To cure sunburn, add a teaspoon of glycerin to apple pulp and apply it on your face, leave for 15 minutes and wash off with cold water.

For tired skin, mix 2 teaspoons of grated apple, 2 pieces of mashed papaya and 1 teaspoon of fresh cream. Apply this mixture on the face for 10 to 15 minutes and wash off with cold water for radiant skin.

Banana - Fresh, ripe bananas make excellent face mask. Bananas, tighten and cleanse the pores and also revitalise dry skin. Mash 2 ripe bananas with a tablespoon of honey. Smooth over the face and leave for 10 to 15 minutes. wash with cold water to reveal soft, supple and hydrated skin.
