We share some benefits of good eating habits and the type of food you should consume.
Fruits - Fruits are mostly low in calories and fat, they don’t even contain cholesterol and are full of Vitamins and Minerals. Fruits contain nutrients such as Fibre, Vitamins and Acids like Folic acid.
Vitamins - Vitamin A is good antioxidant and helps in the production of healthy sebum. It is available in the food like meat, eggs, cabbage, apricot, spinach and milk. Vitamin C is an anti-oxidant and helps and is good for both hair and skin. It is available in citrus fruits like oranges, strawberries, pineapple and vegetables like greens and potatoes.
Vitamin E also acts as an antioxidant and has anti inflammatory properties. It also helps in improving the blood circulation in scalp. Tomatoes, green leafy vegetables, nuts and soybeans are a good source of Vitamin E. Vitamin B, i.e. the family of B Complex is good for hair and is available in fish, poultry, milk and whole grains.
Minerals - The intake of mineral should not be in excess since it can negate the beneficial effects of Vitamins. It is known that too much of zinc can negate the beneficial effects of vitamin D and too much calcium can negate the beneficial effects of Vitamin A.
Similarly if you consume too much of vitamins it can negate the beneficial effects of minerals. Vitamin C can reduce the benefits of copper and Vitamin D can reduce the effeciency of magnesium. Thus a balanced diet is required to ensure healthy and beautiful hairs.
