Flat To Fab

Flat ironing is back in fashion. Irons are easily available and the style lasts for a long time too. You can change the look of your hairstyle and add a lot of versatility to your current style. The best way to get a perfect finish is to use a heat -protection product before you use a flat iron and a leave -in conditioner after ironing to protect your hair and prevent it from looking like hay a day after.

You can add a hint of shine spray or glossy serum to your mane. A flat iron can also be used for creating bed head waves which are a rage this season. The hottest look is more seductive and glossy, the bedhead waves teamed with lustrous conditioner and an undone finish to create a sexy look that can be glammed up for a night out.

To get this look you need long hair and a flat iron. Wash your hair as you do normally and dry with a hair dryer. Nest use a flat iron and curl sections of hair to create big waves. Hold the iron vertically, wrap the hair behind and around it to create a natural looking wave. Hold for 10 seconds, release the wave and leave to cool.

When your hair is cooled, go over each waved section with the iron once again. The idea is to smooth the waves and not to flatten them so run over quickly. Now smooth out the ends completely, the ends should not be curled or waved, it should be flat.

This is the latest look this winter. To get a slightly ruffles finish, tilt your head a bit with your hair at the back and mist a little hair spray while you blow dry the hair. Now repeat this for the other side of head. This will give you the natural bedhead look which is sassy and sexy.
