Eye Care
It is said that eyes are the windows to the soul. Whether it is true or no but the fact remains that they are the most expressive features and should be taken care of. The most important aspect of eye care is a good nights sleep, but with our urban lifestyle ruling our lives we hardly sleep for 8 hours, the maximum we can think of is 6 hours of sleep.
To add to this there is constant exposure to computer screen, Television, air pollution, dust and grime. If this is not enough we ourselves inflict torture to our eyes by applying makeup and not removing it before retiring to bed. Wearing make up is not bad but not removing it before hitting the bed is not good for our delicate eyes. If proper care is not taken it can lead to puffy eyes, dark circles and bloodshot eyes. There is hope in the form of Aromatherapy, some essential oils extracted from flowers and plants can be applied externally to cure such conditions.
Night Moisturiser for eyes – Mix a few drops of Jojoba, Grapeseed, Sweet Almond oil with your ring finger and gently pat the oil around (not directly on) the eye in this fashion ; begin at the outer corner and slowly move beneath your eye towards the inner corner, then onto the very upper portion of the lid and back out to the outer corner. Do this several times , then wipe off excess oil and try to leave a thin film of the oil on the skin.
Note – This oil should not be applied directly on the lids and lashes because if the oil gets into the eye it can block the tear ducts and cause puffiness. The delicate eye area will absorb moisture it needs from the surrounding moisturised tissue.
