Use a pumice stone to scrub the heels. Do not be harsh on the feet. Wipe with soap and rinse thoroughly with water.

Change those dirty socks: Make sure to change your socks regularly. Socks keep the feet under cover and hence graduate foul smell if not changed regularly to avoid a fungal infection. Apply foot powder before putting on socks. This will prevent the feet from sweating and hence will keep the foul smell away.

Trim the toenails: Trim your toenails in a straight manner instead of a rounded-shape. Shaping them straight keeps them healthier.

Wear well-fitted shoes: Do not wear shoes which are too tight. These will bruise your toes and fingers, often causing blisters. Wear well-fitted ones. Buy them in the afternoon as the foot is swelled at this time. So, when you buy a shoe, you can be sure that it won’t feel tight later during the day.

Go for keds:  Keds are comfortable to wear and fits well too. But make sure to try it on with socks before buying.

Leather is a good choice: Leather takes up the shape of the foot and hence is a good choice. They are safe to wear and usually don’t cause any adverse reaction to the skin.
