Eggs for Healthy Skin

Including egg in your diet has enormous advantages, eggs are a treasure trove of benefits that can help your body, hair, skin and nails. Eggs can keep a check on macular degeneration that is caused by ageing, they also improve eyesight by preventing cataract. They strengthen bones, hairs and nails due to the high content of Vitamin D and Sulphur. Eggs are loaded with Vitamins which are essential for our holistic health and beauty.

Egg contains the following Vitamins -

1) Vitamin A – This vitamin is good for skin and growth.

2) Vitamin D – Strengthens bones

3) Vitamin E – Protects cells from oxidation.

4) Vitamin B – Egg contains B1, B2, B6 and B12 vitamins. B1 helps properly release energy from carbohydrates, B2 helps release energy from Protein and fat, B6 helps promote the metabolism of protein and B12 is an essential vitamin in the formation of nerve fibers and blood cells.

It also helps in reducing oiliness, regular use will refine the pores, nourish the skin, tightens the skin and lightens the skin. To make a face mask, add egg white to 1 teaspoon each of yogurt, honey and 4 teaspoons of oatmeal. Mix and apply on your face, leave it for 30 minutes then wash. Eggs are known to be good for hair as well since they have lipids – fat content which moisturise the hair. Egg yolk is high in protein so when applied on hair as a hair pack, it softens the hair and adds lustre.
