Eat Healthy
Healthy food for healthy hair, is the key to avoid hair related disorders. Hair too like our body needs nourishment and it will get the nutrients from the food we eat. Hair roots have blood vessels which carry the nutrients from the body to the hair follicle. If your body is undernourished it will show up in the health of your hair. Poor diet leads to hair fall and the overall quality of the hair deteriorates. Though the texture of your hair is genetically determined but it can improve if it is cared for. A basic beginners diet is known to be good for hair and holistic health and beauty.
Morning – 2 fruits + red cocktail (juice made of Carrots, beetroot, tomato and lemon) + 2 whole grain breads + egg white or one cup of yoghurt.
Lunch – Salad tossed with sesame and flax seeds + vegetable dish + One pulse + bajra or wheat bran roti.
Mid Evening – 30 gms nuts
Dinner – Salad + soup + leafy green vegetable + fish/pulse + brown rice.
This diet will not only improve the quality of your hair but will also check your weight. Also include lots of fruits in your diet. Fruits are mostly low in calories and fat, they don’t even contain cholesterol and are full of Vitamins and Minerals. Fruits contain nutrients such as Fibre, Vitamins and Acids like Folic acid.Vitamin A is good antioxidant and helps in the production of healthy sebum.
Vitamin C is an anti-oxidant and helps and is good for both hair and skin. Vitamin E also acts as an antioxidant and has anti inflammatory properties. It also helps in improving the blood circulation in scalp. Vitamin B, i.e. the family of B Complex is good for hair. Minerals are also equally important, but should not be consumed in excess.
