Skin care can be very tedious and time consuming but if you spare just 8 hours a month, you will be surprised with the glow on your skin. Give time to yourself and your skin and see the rewards for yourself. These skin care remedies and tips don’t require spending a fortune on cosmetic products, the ingredients are available at home, infact inside your kitchen. In skin care nothing works better than natural products in their purest form. When you treat your skin with too many cosmetic products, it gets confused, even if you were to buy a product over the counter ensure that the contents are limited to 3 or 4. If the list reads into a paragraph then stay away from the product. The secret to beautiful skin is in good eating habits and home care.

The first step to your beauty regime is to protect your skin from the sun. To do this, you need to wear your sunscreen everyday whether you are indoors or outdoors. The harmful UV rays of the sun can damage your skin badly. UV rays are present throughout the year so don’t assume that winters and monsoons are safe to step out without sunscreen. Application of sunscreen is a must, round the year.

Few home remedies which are tried and tested are as follows:

1) Mix rice powder with curd, and use as a facial scrub once a week. Apply the scrub only on your face and rub gently on your skin, especially on the marks, with tiny circular movements. Leave on for a few minutes, and then wash with water. Do not apply this scrub on pimple affected areas.

2) Make a paste of gram flour (besan) with curd, lemon juice and turmeric powder. Apply this thick paste on the arms and face and leave it for half an hour. This can remove the toughest of tan from your skin, it also gives an even tone to the skin.

3) Mix ripe papaya nd cucumber pulp, add lemon juice and apply on your face daily. Wash after 20 minutes. Also apply a face mark twice in a week made with 3 teaspoons of oatmeal and 1 teaspoon each of curd and honey. Apply this pack on your face and wash after half an hour.
