Parting - Some people have a habit of parting their hair in just one direction. This leads to the widening of the parting, which ultimately causes alopecia. When you style your hair for several years in one direction, it can lead to balding around the parting. Initially the parting will appear like a thin line but over a period it will become broader and wider and finally will cause alopecia. So change your parting once in a week and avoid this kind of hair damage.

Elastic Bands and Clutches - Wearing tight elastic bands and clutches is another cause of hair breakage. Hair is pulled harshly when secured with a tight elastic band. This pulling leads to breakage. Your band should be comfortable and hold the hair firmly, you do not require a tight grip, juts a firm hold is good enough. If you have been wearing such band then don’t wait any longer. Change it soon.

Running Hand Through Hair – Our hands are laden with bacteria and when you run your hand through your hair, you are transferring those bacteria to the hair and scalp. Constantly running your hand through the hair can make your hair limp and will ultimately lead to hair fall. Too much of combing or brushing is also not good, so avoid these common mistakes.
