Does Your Hair Lack Shine?
Shiny tresses are every woman’s desire but not everyone is blessed with a shiny mane. You have to take a lot of care of your hair and protect it from various environmental factors for it to shine. Though there are shine enhancing hair products available over the counter, they have temporary results.
In fact, excess use of such cosmetic products causes hair problems like product build up and hair fall. If you wish to add shine to your hair naturally, you have to take efforts and treat it with tender loving care.
However, we would also like to share that straight hair will look more shiny than curly or wavy hair. So iron your hair flat for that shiny mane. But this is a temporary solution and will damage your hair if overdone. Given below are some simple home remedies, though messy, they can add natural long lasting shine to your dull tresses.
Indian gooseberry juice – The juice of Amla (Indian gooseberry) is excellent for adding shine to your hair. Apply it once in a week on your scalp and hair and leave it for half an hour. You will get exceptionally shiny hair in a months time. Do not use shampoo after applying this juice. You can use honey mixed with water as final rinse after washing off the juice from your hair.
Curd – This is another home remedy for adding shine and deep conditioning hair. Add the juice of lime and black pepper powder to curd and beat it well. Apply this paste on your hair and scalp, your hair will not only feel pampered, it will shine with health.
Black pepper will make your grey hair black with regular use. Whatever remedy you choose, ensure that you protect your hair at all times from sun, dirt and pollution. This is the most important part of any hair care regime.
