Do Not Stress Your Tresses

Does your hair look dull and lifeless? Is the everyday stress taking a toll on the health of your hair? If you answer yes to any of these questions then you must do something about your hair before it is too late.

Everyday stressors can be very damaging for the quality and texture of your hair. Factors like pollution, dust, grime, sweat, sun rays etc. can play havoc with the health of your hair. Did you ever wonder why your hair is so different from what it was during childhood. Well, your hair has been battered and beaten to death by external as well as internal factors.

Internal factors include, diet and lifestyle and not to mention the self-inflicted torture that you cause to your mane. We are talking about chemical treatments that cause severe hair damage. Perming, rebonding, highlighting etc are some of the major causes of hair fall and these are in our control. Yet we do not bother about the after effects of these chemical treatments.

We suggest some ways to treat your hair with care, specially during monsoon.

1) If you suffer from hair fall during this season, the problem could be rain water. Though it looks pure and clean, it is completely polluted and certainly not good for the health of your hair. This water usually causes hair scalp infections, so if you ever get wet in the rain then ensure that you wash your hair. Do not air dry rain water, it is advisable to shampoo your hair thoroughly. Follow it up with conditioner and a leave-in serum for further nourishment. This is the time of the year when hair becomes extremely frizzy, so it is good to keep it nourished.

2) Another external factor that can damage hair and cause hair breakage is the use of harsh clips, pins, elastic bands and of course rough handling. Hair needs to be handled with care, never comb or brush your hair vigorously, it damages the cuticles and causes splitting. This splitting further aggravates and turns the hair dry and frizzy. Keep these simple things in mind and prevent hair fall.
