Bad weather conditions, exposure of the hair to heat and chemicals, improper diet, and improper hair care may lead to hair damage. Let us here discuss about some of the effective ways to fix hair damage.

First of all, you need to remember that your hair requires proper moisturizing. So, make sure to use appropriate shampoo and conditioner for your hair. This would help in maintaining the health and moisture level of the hair. Make sure to condition the hair every time after shampooing, so as to make the hair soft, smooth and well moisturized.

Split ends in the hair lead to hair damage. So, make sure to go for trimming of the hair at least once in two months to get rid of split ends in the hair. This would help in treating hair damage to a great extent.

Lack of nutrition is another major reason for damaged hair. Therefore, you should make sure to eat a healthy and nutritious diet, enriched with fresh fruits, green vegetables, fish, eggs, milk, yogurt, and nuts, so as to improve the health of the hair and treat hair damage.

Massaging the scalp with warm olive oil is a very good way to revive and repair the damaged hair. You should massage your scalp with warm essential oil at least twice in a week, to stimulate blood circulation in the scalp and enhance the health of the hair.

Do not make the mistake of washing your hair every day. Washing the hair every day strips off natural oils from the hair, thus making the hair dry and brittle. So, hair should be washed only twice or thrice in a week to retain the natural moisture in the hair.

Use of heat generating hair styling equipments such as blow dryer, curling iron and flat iron spoils the health of the hair. The hair becomes dry, damaged and frizzy due to the use of such equipments. So such equipments should not be used on the hair, so as to prevent hair damage.
