Crubbing Skin Problems Away
We might wash our skin regularly, take good care to ensure there are no pimples. And still, you might be constantly faced with skin that looks dry and uncared for. The main reason for this is that old skin is deposited on the outermost layer, and the younger skin is trapped underneath. Unless dead skin is removed, healthier skin is unable to surface. The resultant is scaly, ageing skin.
The process of removal of dead outer skin is called exfoliation. Exfoliation involves using a slightly coarse product on the skin as an abrasive to remove the dead outer layer.
On the face, readily available scrubs can be used. While buying a scrub, look to ensure that the granules of the scrub are not too coarse. Overly coarse granules can tear fresh skin and harm it. Facial scrubs can also be made at home. One method is to make a paste of chic pea flour. To this add fine sugar crystals. The crystals act as an exfoliant. An alternative is to combine chic pea flour paste with a coarse powder made using blanched almonds. Almonds make for a very good exfoliant, and its properties are also very good for the hair.
For the feet, special scrubs are available that can be used. Also use a scrubbing brush to remove all dead skin. This ensures prevention of cracks on the soles of the feet.
On the body as a whole, a loofah or body scrub can be used. Apart from removing all traces of dirt, they exfoliate the skin well.
Exfoliation is a brilliant way to keep your skin looking young and healthy. Remove all dead skin, and knock years off your looks instantly.
