Corns
Corns occur on the feet and are caused due to tension created in the feet. This tension could be created due to ill-fitting shoes. If any of your bone is constantly pressed against the shoes, it causes thickening of the skin and the formation of corns. Unlike warts, they are not contagious since they are not caused due to virus. The physical pressure exerted on the feet leads to this condition. Slowly the thickened area develops into a cone shape with the pointed surface facing inwards. Corns do not spread in width, instead they spread deep inside the skin thus making the condition difficult.
If you have corns on your soles, you will feel as if you are walking with pebble in your shoes. Corns can be removed surgically but surgery is not the permanent solution for they can re-appear. Instead it is better to adopt some home remedies or alternate treatments like homeopathy.
Homeopathy is absolutely safe offers permanent cure, corns will not recur once treated with homeopathic medicines. Though the treatment is slow but the results are good. While you undergo this treatment it may help to use soft pads to support your soles.
Never try to cut the corn by yourself it can be dangerous, also avoid using creams or lotions. No cream or lotion can cure corns. However, you can try some home remedies to treat corns.
1) Liquorice - Grind a few liquorice sticks and mix it with sesame oil to make a paste, apply this paste on the corns and leave it overnight.
2) Lemon - Tie a slice of lemon on the affected area and leave it overnight, it is known to be very effective in curing corns.
3) Papaya - Papaya pulp is also known to be effective in corn treatment. If the condition is painful and unbearable then it is better to consult a doctor instead of relying on home remedies.
