Control Hairloss During Winter
Climatic conditions play an important role in the hair structure, it is said that hair fall increases during winter and summer. During winter the hair becomes extremely dry and brittle, when such dry hair is combed, it breaks mid way or from the root. Dryness also causes split ends, it is therefore important to trim your hair regularly. The shampoo and conditioner you choose during winter is also important, a strong shampoo which has too much of lather and too many ingredients is not good for your hair. Look for a product that has very less number of ingredients, 2 to 3 ingredients is sufficient anything more than that is of no good for your hair. Do not wash your your hair frequently.
Also while you apply a conditioner ensure that you let it leave it on for at least 10 to 15 minutes. Massage your hair with hot oil, massaging stimulates the scalp and activates the hair follicles. Though vigorous massaging is good for some people but those who have a problem of hair loss should keep the massage gentle. Vigorous massaging can cause breakage and hair fall. Massage the scalp in circular movements, this will aslo allow deeper penetration of oil. To further nourish your hair, wrap a towel dipped in hot water.
Winter causes static in the hair and it is difficult to deal with static. Do not brush your hair, instead ruffle your hand with your fingers to remove the static. Always wear a scarf underneath your scalp to prevent static, use s silk scarf.
Stay away from heated instruments like hair dryer, flat irons, rollers etc, they can cause severe damage to your hair during winter. You can also try some alternate treatments like Aromatherapy, Ayurveda and Hair Spa treatments, these treatments use natural methods to control hair loss and also aim at holistic health of the hair.
