Hair care is of prime importance because like our body needs nutrients for healthy functioning our hair too needs care and nourishment. To keep your hair looking healthy and lustrous, massage it with a hair oil twice in a week. There isn’t any better conditioner for your hair than hair oil. Hair oil is the only hair and scalp conditioner in the world. Contrary to the myth that hair oil does nothing but attract grime, regular oiling is a must.

Many hair specialist are believers of this hair myth about oiling hair. Oiling hair is as good as eating food, oil is food for your hair. It penetrates each hair shaft and soothes the rough cuticles, it improves your hair health.

One should apply warm oil and leave it for a minimum if 4 hours and maximum 24 hours. One should also avoid going out with hair oil on, as oil along with dust particles can clog the pores. Coconut oil is by far the best hair oil, it should be used by itself, pure coconut oil can penetrate your hair by 90%, which is quite high.

You can add few essential aromatherapy oils to your coconut oil for controlling dandruff or hair fall conditions. To allow deeper penetration of hair oil, wrap a hot towel over your head, repeat this two to three times. While oiling your hair, give a good massage to your scalp, massaging stimulates the hair follicles and promotes hair growth.

However, if you face severe hair loss inspite of taking care of your hair, you need to consult a doctor. It is a must to get a regular hair check up done as it is the body’s barometer indicating good health or lack of it. Abnormal hair loss can be an early indicator of many diseases such as; thyroid, anemia, genetic disorder, hormonal imbalance, menopause etc.
