Bridal Hairdo
November 4, 2008
A right hairstyle on the wedding day is very important since it can splash a touch of glamor to your otherwise demure looks. An Indian bride is expected to have subdued looks and a hint of shyness on her face and if you are those outgoing types you surely need the perfect hairstyle to blend your personality with the occasion.
Not just that you will be under the scanner and the guests will discuss your looks right from the wedding dress to your accessories and jewellery, your make up and your hair. So put your best foot forward and prepare well in advance for the look you desire on the wedding day. Planning is the key to avoid any last minute crisis.
To ensure that your hair is at its best on the wedding day, take extra care of it atleast 3 months before the wedding date, use home remedies like application of curd, egg, henna, aromatherapy oils (specially jojoba oil) etc. Additionally include lots of fruits and vegetables in your diet, stay away from fried and sugar, this will not only promote the health of your hair but will also improve the quality of your skin.
Avoid washing your hair on the wedding day instead wash it a night before, also discuss about your wedding dress with your hair dresser. If possible show your wedding dress to your hair stylist for them to understand the look you want.
It is important to have a trial run for the hair do, this will also give you an idea if you need to grow your hair a bit or trim the same. The formal hairstyling trends which included complicated buns and pleats have given way to natural free flowing styles. The hairstyle should compliment the facial structure, if you have a round face avoid middle parts and try to add height by experimenting with your crown similarly if you have long face then try to add width around the ears and cheeks. Whatever style you choose make sure that it suits your personality type.
