Hair care for brides is no different than hair care for a normal person. However, brides-to-be have to take extra care of their hair. A simple hair care regime may not suffice. Firstly, you have to keep your scalp clean, a good hair care regime starts with a squeaky clean scalp. Unclean hair and scalp is the root cause of various hair related problems like, hair fall, dandruff and breakage. Next important thing is to save the hair from sun, like our skin hair too suffers from sun damage. The harsh UV rays can make the hair dry and brittle, so wear a hair sunscreen and avoid exposure to sun.
Some other home remedies that can be incorporated would be application of Henna and some other products that are easily available in the kitchen. But be careful with henna application, it can make your hair very dry.
There are some precautions that should be taken to ensure that henna doesn’t dry up your hair. One such precaution is to add 3 to 4 tea spoons of coconut oil in the henna paste after it has been soaked over night. Before application ensure that your scalp is clean and your hair is thoroughly conditioned. Use a heavy conditioner prior to applying henna.
After the application you should oil your hair and leave the oil overnight. Wash it next morning with shampoo and go for a deep conditioning treatment. You need notr visit a salon for deep conditioning treatment, it can be done at home. Apply any leave-in conditioner and use a hot towel wrap 2 to 3 times over it. This will ensure that the conditioner penetrates deep inside the hair shaft and moisturises it.
