Blushing Beauty
No look is perfectly complete without the use of blush. Proper accentuation of fine lines using blush gives the face a more warm, appealing look.
The use of blush adds colour to the cheeks. When used effectively, blush can add an accent to the cheeks and help detract attention from other, less perfect parts of the face. The use of blush also helps complete the entire look.
Depending on the skin tone, appropriate shades of blush may be chosen. Those with darker skin tones and tans can use shades of peach that are more muted. Fairer skin can be accentuated using more pink hues.
Blush is normally applied to highlight the cheekbone. Dip the brush in the blush and get rid of any excess. Then, using the brush make clean strokes starting towards the nose area and moving outwards and slightly upwards. Another common way that blush is used is to first smile and highlight raised portions.
Blush, when used effectively can give a beautiful perception of raised cheekbones. Be careful to ensure that you do not use blush on the whole cheek. Many women out of sheer ignorance, take blush and use it indiscriminately on the whole area. The results could be disastrous.
While using blush, be careful to see what kind of brush you use. Opt for a softer brush that is not only gentler on the skin but produces more even strokes. Also see that the brush is thick so that the whole area is covered smoothly. Do not go over the area in several strokes as it spoils the effect and makes the blush look patchy. Take good care of the brush. It can be cleaned using slightly warm water and a mild detergent after use.
Use the above information to good effect to help achieve those stunning looks. It’s not difficult. All it takes is a few easy strokes.
