Blush On
Makeup application is not as easy as it seems to be, while it may appear to be simple but it is actually an art. You don’t just need the right brushes, but you also need the right strokes to get your makeup right. The first step to good makeup is good quality product, poor quality makeup products are a complete no no. So invest in some good makeup stuff, the colours are also sober and sophisticated, cheap makeup usually doesn’t have good shades of colours.
You can never get the perfect baby pink blush or lipstick if you buy a cheap cosmetic, always go for a reputed brand. Having zeroed down on the makeup products, you now need a good quality brush. Like the makeup products, brushes are also equally important.
You would need different types of brushes for different makeup application. Invest in some good quality brush which will not wear out soon. There are two types of brushes available – natural bristles and synthetic bristles.
Whichever type of brush you use it is very crucial to keep your brush clean, wipe off the makeup with a makeup remover after every use. Makeup residue is a breathing ground for bacteria, specially when you use damp sponges or brushes. Even if your makeup is in the form of powder it is essential to wipe it off after every use.
Now, let us look at the importance of blush and the method of application. The shade of your blusher would depend on the colour of your skin. If you have a fair skin then avoid using a dark shade of blusher, it will make your skin look dirty.
Light pink is the perfect shade for fair skin, those with a wheatish skin tone can also use pink but a little darker shade of pink would be ideal instead of the lightest one. Similarly, if you have dusky skin then you can go for darker shades of blush on like bronze or coffee brown.
Having freezed on the shade of your blusher, it is time to apply it perfectly. The most ideal way to apply blusher is to smile and apply the blush at the highest point of the cheek.
Use a dome shaped brush, this will allow concentration of the colour in the centre with lighter shade around the centre area. You can extend your blusher upto your temples.
