Beauty Tips for Grooms
Though too much of emphasis is placed on the beauty of the bride but the groom should not be left out in the race. After all it is a big day for both the bride and the groom. There are a plethora of bridal packages but I have never heard of anything like that for the groom. The fairer sex stands at an advantage, there are many drool worthy things to indulge in for woman whereas men are left hunting for basic skin care products.
Thanks to the metro-sexual men, some of the famous brands have now ventured into skin care products for men. Though I don’t recommend make up for men but skin care is important. It’s important to work on perfecting your skincare regime during the days leading to your wedding.
The first and the most important step is to identify your skin type. If you have acne, treat it immediately, preferably with purifying products and mud packs. If you see fine lines forming around your eyes and mouth, it means your skin is dry and you need to use products specially formulated for dry skin. If you are not sure about your skin type then try this test.
Upon waking up in the morning, place a tissue against your forehead, if there is oil on the tissue paper it means that your skin ranges from normal to oily. If there are no traces of oil, your skin is normal to dry. Now that you have identified your skin type set a skincare routine for yourself which should involve cleansing, toning and moisturising.
Alternatively you can use a face wash instead of cleanser and toner. Exfoliate your skin once in a week, it helps in removing the dead skin cells and dirt and grime. Always use a sharp razor that has a double blade to avoid cuts, since cuts can lead to scars. It is better to use a non-alcoholic after shave since alcohol strips the skin of its moisture. Your skin care regime should begin well in advance do not wait till the month of your wedding.
