Hair care is an integral part of personal grooming and care should start at home, some simple tips for hair care are enlisted below. These remedies are not time consuming and can be incorporated in your routine life.
Hair wash - There are advantages of not washing your hair everyday. As well as sleeping that extra half an hour every morning. Heat damage can be reduced by not blow drying hair and you can create hairstyles that remain longer on slightly dirty hair. Not washing your hair everyday will save your colour since the colour pigment in your hair will fade away and lose its vibrancy due to frequent washing.
Replace heated instruments - For adding body and volume to your hair use velcro self hold rollers instead of heated metallic rods. The curls can be set by a little bit of blow drying.
Split ends – If you have split ends but don’t have the time and inclination to trim them regularly then indulge in some heavy duty home treatment. Nourish your hair with a massage oil, preferably aromatherapy oil and use a hot towel wrap. This will enable deeper penetration of oil.
Hair products - Never use too many products, remember “Less is more” when it comes to hair products. Your hair will look more natural with less products. To make your hair colour stay longer use a colour protecting shampoo and conditioner that also contains a UV filter.
Moisturising - It is a common misconception that fine hair doesn’t require conditioning, thin/ fine hair can alsso get dry and would need conditioning like other hair types. If day care is difficult due to hectic lifestyle then use treatments that can be left overnight, they will repair the damaged hair.
The mother of all treatments is a good nights sleep.
