Beautiful Feet

It is said that a person’s cleanliness shows up in his feet. Our feet is often an ignored part of the body and is put through pain and trouble. One reason why people don’t attach too much of importance to their feet is because it is not the most visible part of the body. Infact it is mostly covered with sandals and shoes but what with toes and heels that can be seen from the sandals. Skin care for feet is as essential as facial skin care, regular pedicure and moisturising is a must. Lots of tension is stored in our feet , not to mention the trauma of walking on high heels. Standing for long hours is also not good for your feet.

Our feet too needs some treat from time to time, nothing is better than an aromatic foot soak. A good aromatic soak can be made at home with few drops of aromatherapy essential oil. Take a bowl of warm water and add any of the following essential oil; geranium, lavender, rose, bergamot and ylang ylang.

Soak your feet in this aromatic water for at least 10 minutes. It will soothe the skin and relax your feet, if you can spend some more time then a massage can do wonders.

Massaging your feet is by far the best and easy way to relax and ease the tension that has built up. Soak your feet in aromatic water for 10 minutes and then use a pumice stone to smooth away dry skin from the heels and toes. Cover one knee with a towel and put your other foot up for a massage.

Clench your fist and, starting at the base of the toes, draw your knuckles along the length of the foot to the heel. Cover the whole foot with knuckle carasses which stimulate many foot reflex points and release tension. Change towel to opposite knee and your other foot. Dry feet with towel and apply a little Jojoba oil. You will feel as though you are walking on air.
