Under eye dark circles can mar your beauty and spoil your appearance. It can make you look a lot older than your age. Moreover, it can be hereditary in nature and may be accompanied with bags or puffiness around the eyes. Before we discuss about the various solutions for dark circles, let us look at the causes of this condition.
Firstly, the skin around our eyes is very delicate and thin. It also has blood vessel openings and when there is slightest of disturbance in your lifestyle, the signs can show up in your eyes. There are various reasons for dark circles like, lack of sleep, over exertion, kidney ailments, urinary tract infections and sinus. Your internal health will have a direct effect on the external appearance of your skin.
For instance, lack of sleep will restrict the flow of blood and form small clots in the blood vessels. This condition will show up in the form of dark circles around the eyes. It should be treated immediately since chronic under eye problems can be difficult to cure. Eyes are also prone to external damage inflicted by us, the damage is in the form of fine lines and wrinkles.
Every time you pull your eyelids to apply kajal or wear lenses, it causes fine lines and wrinkles. Even twitching of eyes in strong sunlight can cause wrinkles. Treating undereye problems would require a consistent effort. Use a day and night cream for eyes. Apart from that also try some home remedies like potato slices, cucumber slices, it will soothe the eyes and reduce puffiness.
If you have heavy undereye bags, then do not apply heavy creams for long hours, it will aggravate the problem. However, if you have wrinkles then a heavy cream will help in improving the condition. Another home remedy is to drink plenty of water to ensure the smooth functioning of your kidney’s. Water intake will improve the over all condition of your skin since it helps in flushing out toxins. To check if you are drinking adequate quantity of water, check your urine. It should be clear and not have any foul smell.
