Anti-ageing products have become so popular these days that every month a new cream is launched and we often surrender to the temptation. But before you let the tall claims conquer your human side of temptation, use your discretion before you buy.

The debate about the effectiveness of these over the counter products is still on, with a recent study revealing that these cosmetics creams don’t really work. Genetics, stress, and food habits are some of the few factors that impact your skin and make you look older than you are, if you are on the wrong track. We share some secrets with you for looking young naturally.

1) Consume fruits and vegetables in adequate quantity, so that your body is nourished from within. Another remedy to tighten your skin is to make a paste of 1 banana, 1/4 th spoon of pure ghee, a pinch of turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon almond milk and 1/2 teaspoon of soaked sesame seeds and massage on your face. You can also try this healthy juice; mix 1/2 glass of carrot juice with 1/2 glass of pumpkin juice and juice extracted from 2 amlas. Drink it at least once in a day, it is excellent for your skin.

2) Stay away from caffeinated drinks, over consumption of caffeine triggers stress mechanism and pushes your body in to a state of chronic stress. This in turn activates the production of stress hormones which accelerates ageing. Also avoid smoking since reduces the levels of collagen in the skin and causes wrinkles. Alcohol is also harmful for it dehydrates the skin and can cause a dull complexion.

3) Practise yoga – Yoga is an anti-ageing practise that keeps you youthful. But one needs to be very regular and intense in practising yoga for it to be effective. Yoga has a cleansing effects and works right from inside to give you splendid beauty and robust health.
