Adressing Issues of the Hair
September 1, 2008
Today’s generation is marked by an increased awareness and emphasis on appearance. Greater attention is paid to aspects like clothes, nails, hair and body. The market also caters to these requirements with specialized products specific to each need.
Hair has become an all-important facet of the overall turn-out of everyone today. More care is given to ensure hair is healthy and shiny. We are still, however, confounded by a number of hair-related problems.
The most common among all hair problems continues to be dandruff. Flakes of dandruff on the scalp can be a serious problem if not addressed properly. Dandruff is mainly caused by dryness of the scalp. This causes it to flake. Regular oiling and washing of the hair is vital to check the increase of dandruff.
Hair fall is another problem many face. This can be caused by improper care, increased stress-levels or even climate changes. It is important to note that the hair goes through growth and fall cycles. Watch for the hair fall cycle. Should hair fall go beyond the normal limit(60 to 100 strands a day), there could be a problem.
Dullness of the hair is also quite common. Mostly caused by excessive dryness in the hair, it can be taken care of with proper oiling and regular massaging. There are a number of products readily available that can also help with dullness of the hair.
Other problems that are faced are scanty hair, reduced growth and hair that breaks easily. With some attention, these can all be treated with ease.
A potent cure for most problems related to the hair is aloe vera. Use of the aloe gel can help treat most problems including dullness, and acute dandruff. However, regular care of the hair must not be ignored.
Hair problems are also sometimes the result of dermatological, hormonal, or other physiological problems. Should any problem persist, medical advice must be sought.
