Acne Treatment

What is acne? Acne is a severe skin related problem, which is inflammatory in nature and is caused due to the formation of excess oil in the skin. The pores of the skin get blocked due to the dead cells and bacterial which result in the formation of acne. Acne may occur in the form of pimples, plugged pores and deep lumps. Acne may be found on the face, back, neck, chest, upper arms and shoulders.
The scars of acne on the skin of an individual really look very ugly and spoil the entire beauty of an individual. There are many ways of dealing with the problem of acne. Let us here discuss about some of the treatments with respect to acne which help a great deal in reducing the spots of acne on the skin.
The problem of acne may be classified into two different forms, i.e. mild acne and severe acne. Mild cases of acne can be treated easily. One can reduce the mild acne spots by simply cleaning the skin with benzoyl peroxide or by gentle toilet soap. In order to treat the problem of acne naturally, one needs to concentrate a lot on diet. One should incorporate fresh and juicy fruits, like apples, grapes, pineapple, peaches and pears, in the diet.
Citrus fruits should be avoided. Sprouted seeds, vegetables cereals, and raw nuts should be included in the diet program. Sugar, strong coffee, strong tea, pickles, processed food, soft drinks and meat should be avoided in the diet. Breakfast should include milk and fresh fruits. Lunch should include whole grain chapatti and steamed vegetables, along with butter milk or curd. Sprouts and vegetable salad should be taken in the dinner.
Severe cases of acne require oral treatment. One may have to take antibiotics like tetracycline to treat the problem of acne. Vitamin A and niacin are considered to be very good nutrients for treating the problem of acne. Hormone therapy is also one of the solutions for treating the problem of acne in severe cases. One of the hormone therapies for treating acne is dianette. This treatment also works like contraceptive.
