Acne Problem
Mary felt so miserable. She looked at herself into the mirror. Those little spotty marks are what she hated so much. And now, it’s her marriage a couple of weeks after. And Mary is not really alone when it comes to the acne problem.
Roughly over a million Americans suffer this acne vulgaris (as medically called). Over eighty percent of teenagers are suffering from this plight. Some fall into its prey during their mid 20’s or 30’s. Sometimes, it can be called while sometimes severe. But it’s disgusting and disturbing nonetheless.
They are normally characterized by red irritated blotches along with oozing fluid at times in most cases. They are basically clogged-up sebum and cell deposits inside your hair cell pores. They didn’t get the chance to flush out and that’s what causes acne problem. If they are closed, they are called whiteheads. If they are open, they turn black and are called blackheads. These can happen due to several factors. It can happen because of accumulation of dirt and germs, it can happen because of some other health related problem or it can also happen due to hereditary factors.
So how would you treat this acne problem? First of all, we need to refrain from excessive intake of alcohol, nicotine and caffeine. They affect your overall health as well. Stay away from the greasy junk food items and carbonated soda drinks. Rather, eat lots of fresh fruits and green leafy veggies. Drink loads of water (in gallons!). Do regular exercises, practice meditation, take adequate rest and adopt a healthy lifestyle.
And you also got to coddle your skin with daily skin care routine as well. Apart from regular cleansing and exfoliation (which should be done very carefully), TONING is a must for the acne-prone skin types. Toning agents are essentially astringents that suck up the extra moisture from the skin yet conserving the needed. And though acne problem is normally common for the oily skin types, these skin types NEED moisturizing. May not be too much, but they do need regular moisturizing to get the proper nourishment.
Acne is not that hard to cure; but sure you need to take pains for that.
